COMBAT CLINIC Number 2 from Richard Hargrave The "independent" (no CO2 bottle/regulator on board) type single-shot Torpedo guns are an excellent way to arm a Destroyer or small Cruiser (whose prototype had them). This design is less complex and has less parts than a reloading, rotating gun design (but still requires the use of a lathe and a 15/32-32 thread cutting die if you want to make one yourself). The diagram below shows how to plumb (hook up) the safety switch to this kind of system, which uses its stored pressure in the accumulator to "fire" itself. The safety switch is MANDATORY on all gun systems, but the plumbing of this particular type is a little different.
